Tezro install system problem -

Recently, I got a tezro. When I installed irix6.5.30, after copying the miniboot to the hard disk, the monitor turned black, but L1 showed OS running. IRIX6.5.22 is the same. What's the problem? Is my environment variable set incorrectly?

What type of display do you have hooked up to the Tezro? The V12 has a DVI-I connector on the back and I believe that during the IRIX installation it's only able to put out an analog signal. If you have a purely digital monitor that can't process the analog signal, you won't get any output.

I used a DVI to HDMI converter, and connect to a monitor with HDMI interface. Should I use a DVI cable to connect to an old monitor with a DVI display interface? thank you

If you don't come right with the DVI cable, use a DVI to VGA adaptor, as the Tezro switches to an analog output as the operating system loads and then switches back to a digital output ounce the operating system comes up. (this is through the standard DVI output.)
If you have a dual channel display "DCD" card fitted, you won't experience this problem, as the DCD always has a digital output.

Wow, learn something new every day! I had no idea they did that, I got my DCDs pretty quick so I never had to experience that! But I also always used older DVI monitors so they must have supported DVI-A as well. I never would have expected that behavior, glad you guys knew it.
