SGI 320 Recovery CD Images -
masterargan - 08-14-2020
Greetings, all!
I am the proud new owner of a Silicon Graphics Visual Workstation 320 and it has a FUBAR'd Windows NT installation. (missing DISPLAY_DRIVER.DLL) I didn't receive the original recovery/restore disks with the machine so I was wondering where I might download them. Sorry, if this question is answered anywhere else, I haven't come across it yet. Also, I can't seem to figure out how to boot off the CD-ROM with a generic Windows NT Workstation CD (which I DO have).
Thanks for welcoming me here and also in advance to whomever can help me.
Argan

All I could find was really more for Windows 2000.

I’ve no experience with SGI Windows systems, just did a quick Google search for these.
Let us know how it goes.

Probably not the FTP for visibility reasons, and because non IRIX SGI hardware is pretty secondary. I could potentially put it on the nonfree mirror though.

What's this? Visibility, non-sgi and nonfree? Chaps If you want to upload it, PM/Dm me and I'll set you an account to up load. What's this nonfree stuff about Raion?

You've not been around much Mark, so I wouldn't expect you to know. I run a nonfree mirror of mostly a hodgepodge of pre-5.3 IRIX, commercial software, and other utilities. I was proposing I could add it there. (

As for addressing visibility, everything here is a delicate balance between making it accessible, and yet not to the point that I have DMCAs or other issues arising as a result. You can say as much as you want about whether or not I am being too cautious, but I'm not willing to risk the site, domain and operations over a bunch of Windows software.
Finally anything that doesn't run IRIX, is a utility for IRIX or doesn't belong on IRIX doesn't get priority hosting. That is, I'm not particularly interested in creeping the scope wider to host for the x86 and IA-64 SGI stuff. I'm aware that there is a niche for it which is why we have venues to talk about it, but I'm not going to dedicate beyond the bare minimum resources to it.
