Freeware CDs online - download archives? - synthetix - 08-14-2020
There's a later version freeware distribution than I have here:
http://sgifiles.irixnet.org/freeware/
However, I can only browse and download individual files. Is there any way I can download the entire CDs without having to download the files individually?

Unfortunately not at the moment. We are working on reorganizing the mirrors, but it will take considerable time.

Alternatively, I know which packages I need. Could I just download the packages I need and create my own 'dist' directory? Or will Software Manager complain about things missing?

I don't have enough free space to tarball them up for you at the /moment/.
I should have a solution for this in a few days, alternatively on any PC with wget it's pretty trivial to do this:

I will be making several of the more frequently used mirrors at first (and the Nekoware) downloadable, and then we will start going down the list.

There's no CD 4 in my backups. So I don't know man. That's from the sgi ftp backup!
