Indybag Reproduction - GeekLucanis - 07-03-2020

I recently sourced an Indybag for my Presenter/Indy set. Given their rarity, I had always planned to do a run of bags, but I obviously can't afford to give these away for free. That being said, I am not looking to make a profit either. With the pandemic lockdown, it will be a while to get these done, as most places are shut. I am putting out feelers to see whom would want one, or could recommend a good company for reproductions.

I would buy one.

So would I.

Is there not a label to be found anywhere on the bag indicating which company manufactured it?

I had to look inside. Looks like its a small company named West Ridge Designs, based out of Portland, Oregon. I was hoping to get these repros done overseas to save everyone some money.

I think it would be more meaningful if the original company could manufacture them, and you would be giving American people work during these hard times.

Most companies require minimum orders here in the US. I doubt he could sell or afford 10,000 bags. Unfortunately, I doubt they're still an option.

That's a pity! (He should inquire though, as they may be more flexible due to the current situation, and he can maybe make a small business out of it.)

Purists would definitely appreciate a product made up by the original manufacturer. (He would have to send the bag off to whomever is to do the manufacturing, so that they can analyse it. A local company would prove to be easier in this regard.)

I'd be down for one as well!

I’d be interested (as I have a maxed out R5000 Indy in my collection). And yeah, I’d pay for a reproduction Indybag. If the Original US company is willing, I’d pay a higher (like $180) price if it were as good or better quality/durability than the original.

If it makes or breaks, I’d sponsor buying a few bags (at a slight discount to break even) that could be resold if a larger order was needed and few more units would do the trick.
