The origin of the Flame logo - Irinikus - 06-29-2020

A few moments ago Dave Sampson, who worked at Discreet Logic/Autodesk from 95-2011, contacted me on my YouTube channel, and I asked him how Flame came to have it's "Fish" logo, and this is what he had to say:

"@Irinikus Ostensibly Richard Szalwinski the founder was inspired by illustrations on a Japanese menu, but I never asked him if that were true. Then later the joke was that it was "scale-able". The logo you are using was the second incarnation re-design after the acquisition by Autodesk by (pretty sure) designer  Paul Fortin."

This explanation would also explain the logos of the various other Discreet products of that era!

I asked him to join IRIX Network, so I sure hope he does!
