SGI / Alias Software Promo Videos - CyberMonkey - 05-06-2020
This thread will look at some of the various promo videos made for SGI and Alias products during the 1980s to early 2000s.
We'll start with the early models from the 1980s.

Somebody might want to present that to modern programmers whereby everything is so unoptimized, software is (usually) slower today than it was for me when I was a kid using Windows 98 and DOS. Especially all of the poorly coded databases misusing SQL Lite for a main database or the shitty win32 MS SQL applications. I also noticed a lot of applications have human interface delays too, when gmail had a new backend updated, I now have to deliberately pause when I start typing in my password after my username because the interface is SO SLOW It can't keep up with 140 WPM and will drop half of what I've typed when it transitions to the password field.
Also apparently I've been mispronouncing "gouard shading" all these years.

Given this is Alias, it might prominently just be Power Animator. But it is possible that these samples had other software involved within the pipeline.
Also this track is really catchy haha.
