irisware mirror - Prism - 04-20-2020
I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the contents of http://fr.irisware.net/irix-software/3d/alias-wavefront/ I've checked on the internet archive and they don't have a copy of any of the programs, specifically, I'm looking for Alias|Wavefront Maya 2.0 and Wavefront's Advanced Visualizer 4.2.1

No, the files that were on that server were dismantled/removed due to complaints and copyright issues.
Alias and Autodesk/Discreet stuff were getting reported as pirated materials by a person who was attempting to get the site taken down. Therefore we don't have anything that was on there anymore.
the only nonfree stuff I have is on http://nonfree.irix.cc

Who would try to get this site taken down? I like how mac and pc have vast abandon ware archives and no one cares. We can't upload an installer for a node locked application from 1992 without some internet ninny making complaints.

Let's just say a certain crazy European guy who if I even say his name or alias he literally burst into flames and starts blowing up my email claiming that I'm harassing him from a million different aliases. The guy is nuts. Anyone who approaches him and doesn't show absolute sympathy for his position and plight ends up being dubbed an alias of me or one of his other archnemeses. it's honestly kind of sad because he thinks of himself like some crazy jokeresque villain but he's actually more along the lines of joker's retarded cousin.
Either way it turned out to be a terrible idea to be hosting most of that software. I gave copies of the archived out to people but they ended up getting rid of it and haven't reproduced it anywhere
