Webforce 5.3 project -
opcode - 04-20-2020
Hello SGI people,
I have been setting up an Indy running 5.3 (and soon a challengeS running 5.3) as a retro WebForce Author/Browse/Serve environment. I drooled over these machines in the 95/96 years so I wanted to build a pie in the sky wet dream web dev setup. I have an R4400 200Mhz, 17" Sony granite monitor, Set engineering Fast Ethernet card, 192MB ram, 24bit graphics, Sony PS, 146gb SCA drive with adapter (overkill, I need a 9GB), Insite floptical, 4x granite external CDROM, granite keyboard/mouse, Indycam. (Still missing WebForce badges.)
I am running into problems with licenses for the Netscape Enterprise web, mail, proxy, news servers. Were there any free (non demo) licenses for any of the WebForce products? Netscape Enterprise Server 2.0 stuff? Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere? I think I have a Cosmo Code 2.0 code somewhere but can't remember. It has been so long since I have messed with this stuff.

I only have a flexlm license for 6.5 releases. I don't mind if people share license files, but cracks please share over PM.

Thanks, I agree about the licensing. I remembered that they were giving away codes for things like cosmo code in the end so I was wondering if there were others in the WebForce realm that also got free licenses as the software aged.

Did you ever come to any conclusion with this? I'm running into the same issue. My background is that I worked specifically in web development at SGI (Intranet stuff) in 1996 and 1997, and I'd love to recreate my exact setup, but I don't have any licenses for the WebFORCE stuff, or even Webmagic. All of this stuff can be done with other tools, naturally, but I need that nostalgia hit.

Also curious about this. I can't find a licence to unlock WebMagic's pro features. Crazy that even changing the colour of the background and text counted as a pro-level feature, but hey it was the 90s.
