Origin2000/Onyx2 Craylink - Terrh - 03-17-2020

Anyone know how to configure a rackmount onyx2 system?

I've got a dual rack system with 4 "bricks", 2 compute, 2 graphics.  I haven't found much documentation on how to configure the cabling or set up irix to see all the hardware.  I doubt it's as simple as "plug and play".

I'd like to start with just getting both of the Origin2000 compute bricks configured as a single system, and then once I've got that working well, I'll add the graphics capabilities.

The two CPU bricks are craylinked into a 16 CPU system. The graphics bricks are linked to the CPU bricks using XIO links.

So first you link the CPU bricks into a single system, like a single rack dual module Origin 2000. The CPU bricks might be side-by-side, one in each rack.

Then you connect the graphics modules

Honestly, I would at least browse this manual at least once. The Site Preparation Guide might be a good one too.
