CPU upgrade on CPU Module O2 - DavisX - 12-09-2019

Hi!

I have an O2 R10K based running @195Mhz. Currently I have a CPU only - no module, only CPU R10K 250Mhz.
Is it possible to change the CPU only on module? Do you guys have experiences on that upgrade?

I recall the 175 and 195 Mhz O2 pimms have a different ASIC to the 225 -> modules. I don't think it's a straight swap in this instance. You could try it, but you may run into cache errors. I posted the jumper locations for the 225-300mhz upgrades in that post.

The 250 modules aren't too costly, they go for around £30-£40 here in the UK when they pop up.  Otherwise I'd be happy to share what photos I have to show you the ICs and layout of my R10K board.

I do see great solution in getting the complete module, I was looking on ebay and modules are pretty costly R5K included. If someone is thinking to sell a R10K 250 for that £ I would like to buy it
