SEGA Dreamcast -
Irinikus - 09-29-2019
My SEGA Dreamcast has arrived, and it has to be one of the coolest looking consoles I've ever seen!
It came with the controller (equipped with VMU and Vibration pack), mouse, keyboard and two games (Crazy Taxi and Quake III). This controller has to be one of the coolest and most comfortable controllers I've ever come across!
It came with RF and SCART cables, so I will have to acquire a SCART to AV adaptor to be able to interface it with my Indy or AV to HDMI converter!!! (When you get something new, you always seem to need something else just to make it work!!!)

Ah, nice

I really need to dig into the Dreamcast more - still never got around to playing through
Skies of Arcadia.

I can't wait to dig into it myself! (I would like to get Sonic Adventure for it!)
It appears that the SCART cable that I have for the machine is not wired with the composite video out!!! I made up these cables so that I could hack the SCART only to find that I couldn't use them!!!
I will have to source an AV cable for the machine!!! (There's a retro gaming shop in Cape Town, which sells them. I'll have to pay them a visit when I'm next down there.)

Toy Commander, Powerstone 1&2 and Jet Grind Radio were legit. Gundam Side Story 0079 was playable, but really best for Gundam fans. NFL 2k1 was a product of it's time, but still good. Played just about everything that came out for that system since I had a boot disc and the piracy scene was fairly large, but not much else stands out in my memory. Sometimes I miss it, then I go back and look at videos of those games and wonder how I played things that looked that bad.

I recommend getting a VGA box. Its the easiest way to get 480p out of a DC, and most games work with it.

I think I will order one of these cables for it:
