Nasa, Mars Rover Image Download Irix? - Intuition - 07-08-2019

I was watching this clip today. Random clip find. The 3D scenes were supposedly Rendered in Lightwave using a custom Renderman port by a guy named Daniel Maas.

But besides the 3D is the part of the clip where you see them downloading images at the end from the rover.

I see this window interface that looks a lot like an Irix window and text entries.

Anyone know anything about it?

Thanks

Here's his (Dan Maas's) explanation: https://www.maasdigital.com/mervideo-tech.html

Haha, dang, Maas still has his old website up. Jurassic Era internet.

Yeah he's definitely done a disappearing act, no credits at imdb either...

Still, if you watch the clip I linked I am still wondering if the UI when the photos start coming up is Irix or some other unix?

Maybe it is old windows. I dunno, the text entry looks like Irix slightly even though the minimize, maximize, close window buttons look windowsy.

I see SUN keyboards and CDE desktops, so I'm gonna put my money on they are running Solaris
