(Resolved) Indigo2 IMPACT 10000 Screen freezing on startup -
NoodlesMcPastaMan - 05-23-2019
I posted a thread on here before, detailing how there would be a Kernel fault when loading miniroot. I resolved this by removing the graphics, installing IRIX using serial. IRIX installed just fine, and is able to boot over serial. I got a new Solid Impact card, but after installing that, it freezes on startup. It gets to the "starting up the system..." screen, the mouse becomes unresponsive, and it stays there. I tried reinstalling IRIX, and I was able to do that with graphics, not connected to serial, so my new card seems to have fixed that issue but the screen still freezes when I restart. I am all out of ideas at this point, any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure if you shared pictures from its innards on Discord but it might sound like a power issue: Does the EISA/GIO reiser card have the power ribbon cable attached?

I dont think I shared any pictures of inside the machine, but every cable is plugged in. I checked it all a few times in the process of troubleshooting.
