Beginner with boot problems - geokov - 05-15-2019

Hello, I am a total beginner trying to boot up an old Indigo 2 (purple) that has been unused for over six years. The monitor and the Indy power up but I am getting an error. Here is what I see:





If I do nothing, it goes to:



Before that screen, if I click on the "Stop for Maintenance" button, I get this:



If I choose "Start System" or "Run Diagnostics" I get the error screen. If I click "Enter Command Monitor", the monitor opens:



I'm not sure how to proceed at this point, any help would be greatly appreciated.  :blush:

The message sounds like some kind of hardware defect, maybe the RAM?

I would probably, very carefully, reseat the the RAM, try again. Maybe reseat the graphics boards to. You can type "hinv" in the prom to see exactly what sort of specs the system has.
