I just tested a samsung syncmaster 920n using a sun 13w3-vga converter and it worked fine from an indigo2.

I used my old Samsung 740BF with Octane. The only problem I have with it was shifted image (around 2 cm to the left if I remember correctly). Now I'm using Samsung S24C650 with SGI without any problems (Indy, O2, Octane, Fuel).

Hello everybody!
I am new here! I love Silicon Graphics machines. There are just so nice.
I have a Tezro, an Onyx2 and an Octane2.
I bought recently a Samsung 2443bw for my Tezro, because I have read that it supports SOG and is 1920x1200.
It works, well kind of. I cannot make it show the entire image Tezro is sending. It is off-screen by a huge margin.
I have tried reseting the monitor, setting manually the x/y offset but I failed. I use 50Hz but also at 60Hz there exists the same problem.
With a big SGI CRT monitor at 1920x1200 I have no problems, but at 50Hz it is flickering too much for me.
Perhaps my Samsung is defect (although it is working OK with DVI-D input) or not fully compatible with the Tezro.
I am interested in buying a used Dell 2412m. Do you know if it will work correctly with the Tezro at 1920x1200?
I hope the image is not off-screen with the Dell.
Thank you very much in advance!

I use a Dell U2412m with an Octane/VPro @ 1900x1200 with no issues. So the prospects are good for a Tezzie working with 1900x1200 Dell 24" monitors.
Also, you might be able to fix your issue with a custom VFO file. The best option is to plug the monitor into a PC, capture the EDID data and make a monitor-specific VFO. This old neko post has a lot of good info:

There also may be a precompiled custom vpro VFO that works better in this zip (warning: direct download link) hosted by larbob:

Thank you for the fast response!
Unfortunately, I am not that tech savvy in order to use a custom VFO file.
Moreover, the Dell is a much better monitor overall, so I will go to that direction.
Have a nice day!

I want to connect a modern non-CRT monitor to an SGI system and use CrystalEyes shutterglasses with it. Is it possible at all? If it is, what model of monitor would you suggest?

Iiyama ProLite E431S works on my Indigo2 Extreme.
Could we make the list into a sticky somewhere?
