Podboy inquired about an SGI Indy Nidec PSU that I rebuilt and posted on the marketplace. I did first ask for a little more information about the system it would be used in and if there were currently any issues. Podboy detailed the series of symptoms that pointed to power problems, specifically problems involving the keyboard disappearing as well as SCSI peripheral errors at start up. I surmised that this was likely bad power coming through his 5V line, as that is the voltage all those peripherals and symptoms could have in common.
There was some additional symptoms on the system that I did not believe a power supply would cure, Podboy was understanding that the power supply would only improve the situation and might not cure every single ailment. Understanding that the transaction proceeded, Podboy paid quickly through an approved method and we were able to complete the transaction very quickly. He also sent his old power supply to me as a core exchange.
At all times I felt like I could easily get in contact with Podboy and the responses were prompt and detailed. Definitely the kind of customer I love to have, and I would welcome doing business again!
